I am motivated to work with individuals who are committed to making a personal change through movement. Whether you're a competitive athlete looking to up your game, a beginner stepping into a gym for the first time, or somewhere in between, I tailor workouts to meet each person's unique needs and goals.

Health is the Ultimate Rebellion
My goal is to help you find a form of play or movement that enjoy. So many of us have lost sight of the fact that movement is fun. It's what our bodies were made to do. My approach combines personalized training and nutritional education, ensuring you have the tools to make informed choices and find joy in movement. I aim to empower people to take control of their health and to level up their strength, energy, and resilience. There are few greater threats to abuses of power than a healthy populace that can defend itself.

No matter your age, identity, or current health status, there is a place for you here. Your job is to show up, commit to this work both at the gym and at home, and to embrace imperfection. When we celebrate imperfection, we validate everyone’s experience in the gym. This is your journey, and I'm coaching you along the way.
Session info
45 Minutes of Tailored Training
Each session lasts about 45 minutes, designed to challenge you, but make you feel strong. I will craft a personalized workout with movements to suit your fitness level and goals. When you need support, I'm here as a consultant to provide expertise and answer your questions. Together, we'll work towards creating a healthier, more empowered you.
NUTRITION
A sustainable nutrition plan should be part of everyone's health journey, whether it's self-driven or part of our partnership. If you are interested in making this part of our work together, we can set up a series of sessions to review Total Daily Expenditure of Energy, Basal Metabolic Rate, macronutrients, and protein needs. It's about finding a balance that works for you and discovering a way of eating that you love. By providing you with the tools and knowledge to make healthier choices, we work toward enhancing your overall well-being. More info upon request

When I say that health is the ultimate rebellion, let me expand a little.
As a kid growing up in Pittsburgh in the 1980s and 90s, I was heavy into punk rock and heavy metal. I embodied the punk rock ethos, and I was something of a frequent flyer to the principal's office because I had a healthy skepticism of authority.
I went to WVU to study radio broadcasting but along the way took a yoga class that changed my life. Ultimately I changed my focus to health and fitness and became a nationally certified trainer under the American Council for Exercise. I'm also certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University (online), and I've completed numerous marathons and triathlons and hold a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
But that all came from believing in myself to take that first step. We live in a world where myriad multi-billion dollar industries -- from fast food to pharmaceuticals -- have a financial stake in us being unhealthy. So to me, the ultimate form of defiance is to invest sweat equity in your own health and well being via exercise and nutrition.
Where i work
I’m proud to be able to work at many first-rate facilities in Pittsburgh. Each location offers something different so that I can best serve your needs. I spend most of my time training at SKN Muay Thai because we share a philosophy on life and fitness. We strive to have fun while we celebrate the fact that our bodies are healthy and can move with joy. And we don’t suffer squares kindly.
I can also sometimes arrange online sessions or accommodations at a gym of your choice.
